Blåbjerg Biogas, founded in 1991, runs a biogas plant in Nørre Nebel, Denmark, which was first put into operation in 1996. The plant is built to handle 220,000 tons of biomass annually. The biogas plant is among the oldest biogas plants in Denmark. However, according to Management, the plant has since then been expanded and modernised, in 2009, 2011, 2014, and 2020.
