COVID-19 – Urgent legislation regarding VAT, AM-contribution and A-tax

11 March 2020

A new urgent legislation from the Danish government helps the liquidity of companies by temporarily postponing the payment deadlines for VAT, AM-contribution and A-tax.

The government has published three initiatives to help mitigate the negative financial consequences already caused by the spread of the coronavirus and the consequences it may have.

The purpose of the initiatives is to help the companies who are already experiencing negative financial consequences and on a more general term to support the Danish economy in a difficult situation.

The government is extending the deadline on settlement of VAT, AM-contribution and A-tax, so that the companies can improve their liquidity.

In addition, the government is examining whether it is possible to extend the deadlines for the small and medium-sized enterprises.
